The Blog and the Future
Written on May 10, 2024 - Update
Well, it certainly has been a bit, huh? I know that something new coming to this blog was certainly a long time coming. However, I think it's finally time to start ramping things up for a push in things! I've been on a bit of a rest from things due to life in general being pretty busy. That being said, the future, that's what you want to know about. Well, that's coming down the pipeline. No need to rush it! I want my next project to tie in some multimedia aspects as well, with unlisted video clips or gifs, that can help me get my point across. I don't want to get too deep into it, but I'm very excited about the future of this blog. Things are coming, so stay tuned!
Hope you have a nice rest of your day!
Snout (PC)
Written on June 24, 2023 - Gaming
Snout is quite an interesting little game that you can find for free on Steam. The big pull of this game is the fact the gameplay is a mix of Snake with Breakout. You guide your snake around a box that hits a ball around to break blocks. That's about as complicated as it gets, but for a free arcade like game, I've been having quite the time with it. There's a certain little flow state to games like this that you can tap into once you get used to the controls and stuff. My only issue is it's only as deep as it is simple, but hey, it is what it is. Fun bite-sized game, if you don't expect too much.
Prince of Perisa: The Forgotten Sands (PC)
Written on June 1, 2023 - Gaming
I've been playing through a lot of the Prince of Persia games recently and I just went through this. I thought I wasn't going to like it after seeing the fairly mixed reception of the game online. However, it feels much like the rest of the series in a good and bad way. Tries to innovate but ultimately fails by adding a needless skill tree with even worse and somewhat needless combat. If you liked the platforming of any of the games before though, I'd recommend it on that alone. Solid experience dragged down by tedious combat.
